I remember watching the finals of the Tokyo Olympics...it was pretty good....messy...but easily head to slightly over head waves. I thought it was really fun to watch them perform in unpredictable waves. I wouldn't say it was underwhelming at all. There have been many CT stops that have been worse over the years.

Brazil didn't make it to the finals in 1950. The format wasn't knockout. There was 1st Group stage with 4 groups. 4 group winners (Brazil, Uruguay, Spain, Sweden) formed a 2nd Group stage with new group where they all played eachother. In first 2 matches Brazil destroyed Spain 6:1, and Sweden 7:1, and had 4 points before the last group match against Uruguay. Uruguay draw against Spain 2:2, and beat Sweden 2:1. That meant Brazil only needed a draw against Uruguay to become a World Champion. They had the result they needed up until 10 minutes before the end of the match.

Cheating is rampant in Chinese citizens. We dont naturally think this b/c we assume their cultural dictates create a superior self control in many areas including academically. But the truth is they only aeem to care about the outcomes... not the integrity it takes to get there. I can't tell you how blatently this subgroup of students cheated over and over and over... and for some reason the professors never stopped it. Afraid I guess... of being called racist. Im not sure. I was just completely surprised at the lack of self respect.

No wonder why we have France hosting the circus in 2024 Olympic, so they want to make sure they will never have to host it again.

The first city to get the Olympics, and wisely say "no thanks" was Denver, CO. We are still happy about it 40 years later. All you get is traffic, debt, and 12 massive sites that just rot away unused after the cameras leave. it's great advertising, sure. But does anyone not know Colorado has the Rockies and all the top ski cities?

These critics right here …… they aren’t and were never athletes and don’t appreciate sports. If a place chooses to host the games …. it’s their choice. It’s Easy As HELL to be a frikkin critic. A lot of people do something great and critics sit around and tell us what is wrong with it. Let the professional critics build something. Any thing. But they don’t. They can’t. They don’t know how.

I live near the city that just got announced to be hosting the 2034 Olympics, Salt Lake, and I'm very curious to see how that will be handled. I know that because they already hosted the Olympics in 2002 they mentioned that they can do things cheaper, relatively, and I believe the mayor specifically promised things about budgets.
